A fishing vessel has sunk in the eastern part of the Gulf of Thailand due to a severe storm, leaving at least 7 people missing.
Sea-news.az reports that this was published by the “Khaosod” newspaper.
According to the publication, there were a total of 20 crew members on board the vessel. Thirteen of them were rescued and evacuated to a safe area. Search operations for the remaining 7 sailors are ongoing.
Personnel from the 1st Region Command of the Royal Thai Navy, as well as other fishing vessels, have been deployed to the search and rescue operations.
Strong waves and unstable weather conditions at sea are significantly complicating the rescue efforts.
