As one of the main partners of the “Let’s Protect the Caspian!” campaign, “Carlsberg Azerbaijan” has supported cleanup operations held in the coastal areas of Azerbaijan.

Sea-news.az reports that by supporting this initiative for seven consecutive years, the company demonstrates its long-term commitment to the protection of the Caspian Sea.

The campaign kicked off with events held on September 2, 2026, in Khachmaz, Siyazan, Neftchala, Lankaran, Astara, and Sumgayit. The final cleanup campaign was organized on September 19 at Bilgah beach.

Employees of “Carlsberg Azerbaijan” also joined the waste collection campaign in the coastal areas, contributing to the initiative. Participants were offered “Khirdalan 0.0” non-alcoholic beer at the company’s stand.

Sharing his thoughts on the initiative, company CEO Krasimir Lazarov stated:

“We are pleased to support the ‘Let’s Protect the Caspian!’ campaign and contribute to this initiative alongside the volunteers participating in the cleanup actions. We thank our colleagues who spared neither their time nor effort, the organizers, and everyone who contributed to this initiative. We look forward to continuing our activities within the framework of this initiative in the future.”

Through its participation in the initiative, “Carlsberg Azerbaijan” supports cleanup measures implemented in coastal areas in cooperation with government agencies and other partners. This activity aligns with the environmental protection goals set out in the “Brewing tomorrow” sustainability program of the “Carlsberg Group”.

Alongside “Carlsberg Azerbaijan,” the main partners of the campaign include the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, “Coca-Cola,” the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), the “EcoHub” environmental platform, “AmCham,” “Green ASAN,” the ASAN Volunteers Organization, and “Global Media Group.”

Notably, the “Let’s Protect the Caspian!” initiative, held on the eve of International Coastal Cleanup Day, has been organized consecutively in Azerbaijan for the 17th year. Established in 1986, International Coastal Cleanup Day is observed in more than 100 countries worldwide.
