Representatives of the “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Yard and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan tour Baku Shipyard
A delegation consisting of representatives from Turkmenistan’s “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Yard and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan visited the Baku Shipyard on September 8, 2026.
Sea-news.az reports that during the visit, the delegation held official meetings with the shipyard’s management. The talks focused on mutual operational activities, respective shipbuilding and repair capacities, ongoing projects, and prospects for deepening future bilateral cooperation.
Following the discussions, the guests toured the production facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the yard’s advanced technical infrastructure, technological capabilities, and current construction projects.
The visit concluded with productive exchanges aimed at expanding strategic collaboration in the maritime and shipbuilding sectors between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
