The death toll from the sinking of the passenger ship off the coast of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has reached 14.
Sea-news.az reports that TRNC Prime Minister Unal Ustel made this statement.
According to him, the body of a man aged 55–60 was recovered during search and rescue operations. Measures are currently underway to identify the deceased.
Notably, the search for missing persons from the passenger vessel Filo Jet, which sank off the coast of Kyrenia on August 30, is ongoing.
The rescue operation related to the incident continues with the participation of Turkish Naval Forces vessels.
