The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that three U.S. vessels and three oil tankers operating along unauthorized routes in the Strait of Hormuz have come under attack.
Sea-news.az reports this based on a statement released by the IRGC.
According to the IRGC’s statement, the attacks were carried out following strikes by U.S. forces against Iranian oil tankers.
The Iranian side stated that the operation serves as a retaliatory response to the strikes conducted by the United States against Iran’s oil fleet.
