Admiral Bradley Cooper, head of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), has stated that the crew of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72), which was scheduled to return to the US in May, is exhausted.

Sea-news.az reports citing The Wall Street Journal, that the admiral noted this in an article written following his visit to the aircraft carrier.

“The crew is tired, but they continue to operate at full capacity,” the admiral stated.

Cooper claimed that the issues previously highlighted in the media have now been resolved.

“Recent news reports featured various opinions regarding the pace of operational activity, crew morale, and the realities our service members faced. Aboard the Lincoln, I found that many aspects of these stories are already a thing of the past,” Cooper wrote.

According to him, problems regarding food, hot water, and other matters brought to attention several months ago have been reviewed and resolved by the leadership.
