A shark that got caught in fishermen’s nets in the Sea of Okhotsk, in Russia’s Sakhalin Oblast, has been brought ashore.

According to reports, local residents who gathered around the shark noted that its skin was extremely tough. Sakhalin residents stated that sharks have been approaching the shore more frequently in recent times.
It is reported that salmon sharks are capable of reaching speeds of 50–70 kilometers per hour. It is also noted that these predators have the ability to leap out of the water to catch their prey.
Shark sightings increase in Sakhalin Recall that prior to this, reports had circulated regarding the mass observation of sharks in the Sakhalin region.
In the port city of Kholmsk, a shark approximately two meters long approached the shore, causing concern among people vacationing on the beach.
Experts attribute the more frequent sightings of these marine predators to a significant rise in water temperature.
One of the first examples of such mass appearances of sharks was recorded in Vladivostok. In June of last year, it was reported that predators in that area approached public beaches and hunted right in front of people.
