August 8 is the birthday of People’s Artist and actor Rasim Balayev.
Sea-news.az reports that Rasim Ahmad oglu Balayev was born in the Aghsu district in 1948.
He graduated from secondary school in Aghsu in 1965 and from the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts in 1969. Rasim Balayev first appeared in a small role at the Baku Film Studio in the production “Stars Never Die”. He won the love of viewers through his roles in the films “Nasimi”, “Babek”, and “Dada Gorgud”.
He has also worked at the theater studio operating under the “Azerbaijanfilm” Film Studio.
In addition to major and difficult roles, Rasim Balayev has also played small parts. He performed episodic roles in films such as “This Sweet Word, Freedom”, “Your First Hour”, “Stage of Happiness”, “I Will Return Yet”, and “The Day After Tomorrow, Midnight”. He has been cast in films at “Uzbekfilm”, “Mosfilm”, and other studios.
