The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has announced that a cargo ship has been attacked off the coast of Oman.
Sea-news.az reports that according to the agency’s information, the incident occurred 20 nautical miles northeast of Khasab, Oman. The cargo ship transmitted a radio message reporting that it was hit by an unknown projectile.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing. The UKMTO has recommended other vessels passing through the region to exercise caution and immediately report to the agency if they observe any suspicious activity.
