Near Odesa, the Turkish-owned civilian cargo ship GOLDEN LEO has sunk as a result of a missile strike.
According to sea-news.az that Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, stated this.
According to O. Kiper, the ship was attacked on July 19 while leaving the port loaded with Ukrainian corn. As a result of the incident, 9 crew members and 1 Ukrainian pilot (lootsman) were killed, and 8 seafarers were rescued.
The regional head added that no one was on board when the ship completely sank into the water.
