Kazakhstan sees significant potential for jointly developing artificial intelligence (AI)-based solutions with Azerbaijan in the fields of trade and transport logistics.
According to sea-news.az Aset Nusupov, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, made the statement in an interview with Trend.> “We consider this one of the most promising areas of bilateral cooperation. Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are two countries whose digital ecosystems are developing along similar paths. At the same time, the logistics links established through the Middle Corridor provide a unique foundation for creating joint AI-driven solutions,” Nusupov said.He noted that one of the key areas of cooperation could be the use of AI for predictive cargo flow management between Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) and the Port of Baku in Alat.
According to him, such solutions would help optimize train schedules, minimize idle time, and reduce operational risks for transport and logistics companies.Another promising initiative is the creation of a unified price monitoring platform to track price trends for key commodity groups, supporting better coordination of trade policies between the two countries.
Nusupov also highlighted the potential use of AI agents to process documentation in multimodal transport. These systems could automatically synchronize data across the information systems of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, while jointly developed AI tools could improve cross-border trade risk assessment and enhance the efficiency of logistics operations.
