On the final day of the International Swimming Championship held in Kutaisi, Georgia, the Azerbaijan national team performed successfully, winning 14 medals (5 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze).
According to sea-news.az that among our athletes who achieved a series of victories, Maryam Javadova (200 m individual medley, 2:31.84), Yegor Maynitsky (200 m individual medley, 2:07.03), Amin Orujlu (1500 m freestyle, 16:50.77), and Ogtay Huseynov (1500 m freestyle, 16:05.71) claimed gold medals in different age categories. M. Javadova and A. Orujlu also broke their personal records.
Silver medals were brought to our team by Maryam Javadova (50 m freestyle and 200 m individual medley), Abdurrahman Rustamov (50 m freestyle), Mehri Abdurahmanli (100 m backstroke), and Amin Orujlu (1500 m freestyle). Bronze awards were won by Mehri Abdurahmanli, Vlastilina Khasyanova, Ogtay Huseynov, and the mixed 4×100 relay team.
It should be noted that our national team, represented by 11 athletes under the head coaching of Luka Gabrilo at the tournament held from July 16 to 19, successfully concluded the competition.
