The volume of road vehicle transportation via the ferry vessels of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), one of the companies under “AZCON Holding,” increased by 6 percent in the first half of the current year compared to the same period last year.
According to sea-news.az citing ASCO, that while 486,926 tons of vehicles were transported by ferries in the first half of last year, this figure reached 515,033 tons during the corresponding period of the current year.
The highest monthly figure for the half-year was recorded in June. During that month, 116,365 tons of vehicles were transported. This is 41.4 percent more compared to the 85,804 tons transported in June of last year.
