Azerbaijan at the center of the global geopolitical system

In the modern system of international relations, the influence of states is measured by their ability to translate their potential into real political impact. In this regard, Azerbaijan has successfully activated its power in recent years, significantly strengthening its position both regionally and globally.

According to sea-news.az that this was stated by Telman Nusratoglu, Chairman of the Turkish-Islamic Research Center.

The expert noted that the country’s geographical position, energy resources, and military potential have been transformed into instruments of international influence as a result of farsighted state policy. Azerbaijan has managed to protect its national interests without becoming a theater of confrontation for any geopolitical bloc, thereby earning the image of a reliable partner.

Strategic projects realized at the initiative of Azerbaijan have become the main pillar of cooperation between Europe and Asia:

  • Energy and transport lines: Large-scale projects such as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, TANAP, TAP, and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars have increased the country’s geopolitical weight.
  • Logistics hub: The development of the East-West route and the Middle Corridor, as well as the expansion of the capabilities of the Baku International Sea Trade Port, have strengthened Azerbaijan’s role in the Eurasian transport network.

The historic Victory in 2020 created a new geopolitical reality in the region. Today, it is no longer possible to successfully implement any energy security or logistics project in the South Caucasus without the participation of Azerbaijan.

The Center’s Chairman emphasized that at the current stage, where the international system is transitioning to a multipolar world order, Azerbaijan will further strengthen its global influence by putting forward important initiatives in the fields of green energy, digital connectivity, and multilateral diplomacy in the coming years.
