In the U.S. state of Michigan, Coast Guard rescuers have pulled a 32-year-old woman from Lake Huron after she drifted 10 km away from the shore on an inflatable air mattress, putting her life in danger.

It is reported that it was possible to determine the womans location thanks to a short text message she managed to send shortly before her phone lost signal.
The incident occurred on the evening of July 13. The woman, who was resting on the shore in the Thunder Bay area, had initially moved only a few meters from the beach. However, a strong current carried her far from the shore, and she was unable to return on her own.
In this difficult situation, at the last moment, the individual managed to send an SMS to one of her relatives for help. Immediately after this, rescuers launched search and rescue operations.
An “MH-60 Jayhawk” helicopter belonging to the Coast Guard was also involved in her rescue from the water.
The rescued person was taken to a nearby air force base, where medical personnel provided her with the necessary assistance.
