On the initiative of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, World Bank experts visited the Baku Shipyard.
According to sea-news.az that the meeting was held to assess the opportunities for local production and localization of offshore wind energy in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, information was provided regarding the Baku Shipyard’s production infrastructure, engineering capabilities, experience in manufacturing large-scale metal structures, and involvement in maritime projects. There was also an exchange of views regarding the plant’s potential participation in the supply chain of offshore wind energy projects in the future.
Within the framework of the meeting, the experts also became acquainted with the plant’s production areas and existing technical capabilities.
