The U.S. authorities have demanded that Iran declare the Strait of Hormuz fully open for shipping.

According to sea-news.az that Axios journalist Barak Ravid shared this information in a social media post.

According to Ravid, Washington has demanded that Tehran publicly declare its commitment to refraining from attacks on vessels. The U.S. side has also requested that Iran confirm its stance that the Strait of Hormuz is considered fully open.

Ravid noted that the U.S. has conveyed these demands to Iran both directly and through intermediaries.

It should be recalled that the U.S. military had previously carried out a series of strikes against Iran in response to its attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Subsequently, U.S. military operations were suspended.
