Two Russian tankers have sustained mechanical damage following a drone strike by Ukraine in the Gulf of Taganrog.
According to sea-news.az that Yuri Slyusar, the acting governor of the Rostov region, announced this on his Telegram channel.
According to him, air defense forces destroyed over 20 drones on the night of July 9. The attack resulted in fires on both vessels. The fire is still ongoing on one of the tankers, while it has been extinguished on the second.
Y. Slyusar noted that there are no casualties, and the crews of both tankers have been evacuated. Information regarding the consequences of the attack is currently being verified.
