Against the backdrop of consecutive U.S. strikes on targets in Iran for the second day, commercial shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has dropped to a minimum level.

According to sea-news.az that Bloomberg agency provided this information, citing data from ship-tracking services.

According to the report, vessel movement is currently being observed only in the northern corridor, which is located near the Iranian coast and is considered a shipping route approved by Tehran. No movement is recorded along the route located in the southern part of the strait, known as the Gulf of Oman corridor.

According to the agency, only two large vessels are currently transiting the strait: a supertanker under U.S. sanctions and a container ship sailing under the Iranian flag.
