The State Service for Control over Small-Sized Vessels and Water Rescue of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) is continuing its series of awareness-raising events for small vessel users.
According to sea-news.az as part of the latest events held under the theme “Safe Operation of Small-Sized Vessels,” safety regulations were explained in detail to vessel operators and those engaged in fishing.
The main points focused on during the awareness meetings were as follows:
The importance of undergoing timely technical inspections of water transport vehicles in accordance with legislation and obtaining the appropriate certificates for the right to operate them was emphasized.
The critical importance of ensuring that vessels are fully equipped with individual and collective lifesaving appliances, as well as necessary navigation equipment, for the preservation of human life at sea was highlighted.
Practical demonstrations were provided to participants on how to behave during emergency situations and how to properly use lifesaving equipment.
At the conclusion of the events, informative brochures regarding the equipment requirements and safe operating rules for small-sized vessels were distributed to ship owners and operators.
