A new exemplary public beach, created in the Hovsan settlement of the Surakhani district on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, has been opened for public use. Covering approximately 5 hectares, this free recreation area is the seventh exemplary public beach established by the IDEA Public Union.
According to sea-news.az citing AZERTAC, the area is fully equipped for the comfortable and safe recreation of residents. It features rescue stations operated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, shaded areas, changing rooms, showers, restrooms, gazebos, sun loungers, trash containers, and playgrounds.
To ensure accessibility for people with disabilities, special paths and ramps have been built, allowing those with limited mobility to easily reach the water and other facilities. Additionally, the parking area closest to the beach has been marked specifically for persons with disabilities.
Access to the beach and the use of all provided facilities are completely free of charge. The IDEA exemplary public beaches aim to promote ecological and social responsibility in society.
It should be noted that, on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, neglected coastal areas in the Shikh, Goradil, Novkhani, Buzovna, Pirshaghi, and Sahil settlements of the capital have previously been renovated to create exemplary public beaches. The new beach in Hovsan brings the total number of these beaches to seven.
Wishing everyone a pleasant summer season, the IDEA Public Union urges visitors to keep the coast clean, avoid polluting the environment, adhere to water safety rules, and exercise caution while enjoying the natural beauty and facilities provided.
