The cleanliness of sea water at beaches across Azerbaijan is monitored throughout the year.
According to sea-news.az Dr. Ziyaddin Kazimov from the Republic Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology shared this information on “Saglam Radio.”
He explained that from May to the end of September, water samples are collected and tested in a laboratory every week. The water is checked for bacteria and agents that cause infectious diseases. If necessary, they also test for heavy metals, oil, and other harmful substances.
Dr. Ziyaddin Kazimov noted that based on these test results, a final report is prepared regarding the sanitary condition of the beaches.
