Five years have passed since the signing of the Shusha Declaration, one of the most important documents defining the brotherly and strategic allied relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
According to sea-news.az the Shusha Declaration was signed on June 15, 2021, in the city of Shusha by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The “Declaration on Allied Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey” was ratified by the parliaments of both countries in February 2022, thus gaining legal force.
The document is regarded as a strategic roadmap that elevates Azerbaijan–Turkey relations to the highest level and further deepens cooperation in political, military, economic, and cultural spheres.
