The United States Armed Forces have shot down several drones allegedly deployed by Iran in preparation for attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to sea-news.az this was stated by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in the Middle East.
The statement said:
“Iran launched several attack drones aimed at commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. forces shot down all the drones in recent hours, and vessel traffic through the strait continues without disruption.”
CENTCOM emphasized that the international shipping corridor remains open and maritime traffic is proceeding normally.
