Strong Explosion on Board Ship
An explosion has occurred in the engine room of the “Aceh Hebat (AH) 2” vessel, which was moored at Ulee-Lheue Port in Indonesia, leaving 15 people injured.
According to sea-news.az Indonesian media reported the incident.
Officials from the Port Transport Authority stated:
“A total of 15 people were injured — 14 students from the Maritime Polytechnic College and one crew member of the AH2 vessel. All victims sustained burn injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a regional hospital.”
The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
