With the rapid acceleration of digitalization in the maritime sector, cybersecurity has emerged as a strategic priority. In this context, the “Ozora” platform developed by Navarino is attracting attention as a new solution aimed at strengthening ship operators’ protection against cyber risks.

According to sea-news.az citing Seanews.az, the platform integrates key functions such as network security, endpoint protection, and security monitoring into a single system, offering ship operators a simpler and more centralized management capability. The system can be deployed both as a cloud-based virtual solution and through dedicated hardware, making it adaptable to different types of fleets.

Navarino states that “Ozora” supports compliance with the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) cybersecurity standards E26 and E27, which have become mandatory for ships contracted or built after July 2024.

According to Navarino’s Chief Technology Officer, Alex Giouzenis, the increasing digitalization and connectivity of modern vessels expands the potential impact of cyberattacks. As a result, there is a growing need for cybersecurity solutions specifically designed for the maritime industry that do not require overly complex technical expertise.

Experts believe that such platforms can help shipping companies not only protect data and systems but also ensure operational continuity. In an era of expanding autonomous systems, remote monitoring technologies, and digital control solutions, cybersecurity is becoming an integral part of maritime safety.
