Four people have died after a tourist boat capsized on Russia’s Lake Baikal.
According to reports, the incident occurred near Cherepakha Rock, approximately 30 meters from the shore. There were 14 people on board the vessel, which was carrying tourists. Ten passengers were rescued and showed signs of hypothermia.
Initial information suggests the tourist group came from the Moscow region. It is reported that during the incident, the captain drove the boat onto ice, and it capsized when it re-entered the water.
One of the injured individuals was hospitalized, while others received medical assistance at the scene. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
