In the first quarter of this year, the volume of cargo transported through Azerbaijan’s transport corridors has been announced.
According to the data, 3.407 million tons of cargo were transported by rail, 1.3918 million tons by maritime transport, and 2.7052 million tons by road transport.
Cargo flows along the East–West transport corridor amounted to 3.8633 million tons. The Europe–Caucasus–Asia corridor accounted for 1.8539 million tons, the North–South corridor for 2.2652 million tons, the North–West corridor for 1.2656 million tons, and the South–West corridor for 109.9 thousand tons.
Transit cargo represented 44.3% of rail transport, 48.8% of road transport, and 89.4% of maritime transport volumes.
