The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that 15 vessels carrying humanitarian aid have been permitted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

The statement was published on the command’s official “X” (formerly Twitter) account.

According to CENTCOM, over the past four weeks, U.S. forces have blocked the passage of 67 commercial vessels entering or leaving Iranian ports, and have also disabled four ships.

The command further stated that earlier this week, warning fire was used to alter the course of two commercial vessels, and that enforcement measures in the Strait of Hormuz are ongoing.
