The first dry cargo vessel named “Gadamly”, built at Turkmenistan’s “Balkan” shipbuilding yard in cooperation with Korean specialists, has berthed at the Baku International Sea Trade Port.
The vessel is expected to be used for regular container transportation between the ports of Baku and Turkmenbashi.
The commissioning of the new ship is considered an important step for the development of the Middle Corridor and the broader Eurasian transport route.
With a cargo capacity of 6,100 tons, Gadamly can carry up to 240 twenty-foot containers. Its operation is also expected to positively impact the annual cargo handling volume of the Baku Port.
