Iran corridor urged for vessel passage

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has called on all vessels to transit the Strait of Hormuz exclusively through a corridor designated by Tehran.

According to Iranian state television, the IRGC statement describes this route as the “only safe passage” for navigation through the strategic waterway.

“The corridor provided by Iran is the only safe route for transit in the Strait of Hormuz. Diversion to alternative routes is considered risky, and the IRGC Navy will take decisive action against those who violate these rules,” the statement said.

Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz have continued to rise in recent weeks, with international shipping companies closely monitoring the evolving security situation in the region.
