SOCAR Vice Presidents Babek Huseynov, Arzu Javadova, Ziba Mustafayeva, and Ismayil Zargarli have visited the “Neptun” jack-up drilling rig operated by UBOC.
According to SOCAR, the delegation ознакомился closely with the ongoing operations at the U-01A subsea appraisal well located in the “Umid” field, as well as the rig’s technical capabilities, and monitored the drilling process in real time.
As part of the project, a deep subsea appraisal well has been drilled in the Caspian Sea for the first time using a jack-up drilling rig. It was also noted that the deepest well in the “Umid” field, reaching a depth of 6,972 meters, has been successfully completed.
The project was highlighted as being implemented ahead of schedule, efficiently, and in full compliance with high safety standards.
Operations carried out on the “Neptun” rig are considered a significant step in expanding the technological capabilities of the country’s oil and gas industry.
