The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has issued a new warning regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the Fars News Agency, an IRGC spokesperson stated that any vessel failing to comply with transit regulations in the strait will be “forcibly stopped” and may face serious risks.
The statement emphasized that maritime activities not aligned with principles set by the IRGC Navy will not be tolerated: “Vessels that violate the rules will be forcibly halted.”
At the same time, the spokesperson underlined that safe passage for civilian and commercial ships will be ensured if they comply with established transit protocols, adding that there are no changes in the overall management of the waterway.
He further noted that safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz can only be guaranteed when vessels follow designated routes and move in a coordinated manner.
