Tasnim News Agency, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, reports that new control and management zones have been defined for the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the information, a map presented by the IRGC Navy outlines revised boundaries of Iran’s operational control areas in the strait. The map indicates that:
- In the western part of the strait, the zone extends from the western tip of Qeshm Island to a point east of Umm Al Quwain in the United Arab Emirates.
- In the eastern part, the zone is defined from Kuh-Mobarak in Iran to a point south of Fujairah in the UAE.
Ali Abdollahi, commander of the “Khatam al-Anbia” Central Headquarters of Iran’s Armed Forces, stated that Iran has warned the United States to avoid approaching areas near the Strait of Hormuz and emphasized that Tehran is prepared to respond militarily if necessary.
