In 2025, Azerbaijan generated 259.5 million manats in revenue from maritime cargo and passenger transportation.
According to the State Statistical Committee, this represents an 8.1% increase compared to 2024.
During the reporting period, revenues from maritime freight transportation amounted to 259.229 million manats, which is 8.4% higher than the previous year.
In contrast, passenger transport revenues totaled 265,000 manats, marking a significant 75.6% decrease compared to 2024.
Over the same period, Azerbaijan transported a total of 9.090 million tons of cargo (up 5.4%) and 25,500 passengers (down 10.2%) via maritime transport.
