The United States has granted the Philippines’ request to extend the period allowing it to bypass sanctions and import oil and petroleum products from Russia.

This was stated by Philippine Deputy Energy Minister Alessandro Sales. According to him, the Philippines will be able to purchase oil from Russia from April 17 to May 16. Meanwhile, Philippine Energy Secretary Sharon Garin noted that the country has a 54-day fuel reserve.
