In January–October 2023, 7,651,000 tons of cargo (+21.1%) worth were transported by sea in Azerbaijan, Report informs, referring to the State Customs Committee.
55.6% of the cargo were oil cargo.
Seaports carried out loading and unloading operations in the amount of 11.2 million, and 9.22 million tons or 82.6% of cargo were transit cargoes.
By November 1, the volume of cargo remaining in the ports was 366,700 tons.
Also, in the 10 months of the current year, the number of passengers transported by sea increased by 13.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2022 to 20,100.
