On September 28-29, 6, drug smuggling from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented as the result of the mutual activity of forces of the Coast Guard of the Border Troops of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS) in the southern direction of the Caspian Sea, the SBS told APA.
As a result of the conducted operational measures, 21 kilograms 600 grams of narcotics marijuana in 2 bags was found and seized.
On October 15, the smuggling of tobacco products from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented in the southern direction of the Caspian Sea, and as a result of conducted measures 69,168 cigarettes were found and seized in a total of 71 packages in the direction of “Orta Dash” island in the Alat road.
Operational-investigative measures are underway.
