Our teenage and children’s badminton players won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals at the “Youth International” tournament held in Novi Sad, Serbia.

The tandem of Habiba Guliyeva-Emma Karatanova (Ukraine) managed to advance to the final of the tournament in the under-11 girls’ doubles competition. Habiba Guliyeva-Emma Karatanova, who defeated the representatives of Cyprus in both sets in the first match, won the silver medal by eliminating their Serbian opponents at the end of 3 sets and advancing to the final. Here, our representative, who faced Bulgarian badminton players, lost 1:2 to their opponents in a match that took place in a tense and interesting fight.

Our other badminton player, Ali Gozalov, managed to win a bronze medal in the under-15 boys’ doubles competition. Together with Israeli Yahav Sade, Ali managed to advance to the semi-finals of the “Youth International” tournament in this category. Ali Gozalov-Yahav Sade, who defeated the Croatian and Serbian badminton players, lost to the representatives of Romania in the 3-set match to advance to the final.

We got another medal in the mixed doubles category. Aysu Karimzadeh-Yahav Sade pair in this category competition of under-15 badminton players eliminated the Bulgarian, Hungarian and Greek-French pair on the way to the semi-finals and rose to the top 4. At this stage, the pair of Aysu Karimzadeh-Yahav Sade, who met the representatives of Germany, lost 1:2 to their opponents and became the bronze medalist of the competition.
