With the participation of young artists, trees were planted in barrels with symbols of Sustainable Development Goals in Port of Baku. Within the framework of the project, in which the main objective is to promote the achievement of the Global Sustainable Development Goals by protecting the environment, the employees of Port of Baku and the authors of the works of art on the barrels participated in the tree planting campaign. Within the framework of the event, the participants were given extensive information about the activities of the Port of Baku, and the guests also visited the terminals and got acquainted with the operations carried out in the Port of Baku.
It should be noted that Port of Baku joined the UN Global Compact in December 2022 to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. As the region’s first Green Port, Port of Baku strives to align its operating principles with SDG principles, as well as seeks to contribute to the global sustainable development strategy by creating sustainable mechanisms for regional supply chain development.
