The unit for the collection and distribution of natural gas has been installed in the seabed in the area of the Sakarya field in the Turkish sector of the Black Sea, Report informs referring to the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO).
“Step by step towards energy independence,” TPAO tweeted.
The development of the Sakarya gas field is expected to meet approximately 30% of domestic natural gas demand. The first production from the field is expected in the first quarter (Q1) of 2023.
TPAO will drill up to 40 production wells in Sakarya by 2028.
