Position: Intern Engineer (Temporary 7 Months)
Job Description
Interns will also be responsible for participating in and performing auxiliary tasks in support site administration, materials handling, performing inventory, participate in tool and equipment preservation/maintenance, attending HSE meetings and organizing and preparing technical documentation for current and future technical site work.
The Intern will attend NOV training courses and perform site visits at other local NOV facilities as opportunities permit.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generating, tracking, and filing routine paperwork (i.e., Daily Time Sheets, Field Invoices, Field Shipments, Punch Lists, Purchase Orders, Performance Reports, Modification Requests, etc.).
- Ordering, receiving, issuing, and tracking parts from the various locations as required.
- Organizing and filing technical documentation (i.e., drawings, manuals, procedures, etc.).
- Assist coordinating on-site personnel logistics as required (i.e., visas, travel, lodging, etc.).
- Support materials ordering, receiving, issuing reports, shipping, inventory, and calibration reports, etc.
- Working with Shipyard/Customer to receive, inspect and document NOV Equipment and Parts as required.
- Providing day to day management of Spare Parts Inventory and Consumables, on Site (receiving, stocking, issuing, re-ordering)
- Assist in recording and reporting QA/QC issues (missing parts, incomplete/incorrect shipping paperwork, damaged equipment, etc.) and working with NOV Site Mgr to correct deficiencies with the support of I&C Personnel.
- Understand and help generate, track and file HSE related.
- Review & discuss Daily Reports from Engineers to understand nature of work performed.
- Support NOV mechanical/electrical personnel with “red line” mark-up documentation.
- Participate in equipment inspection and preservation tasks.
- Assist NOV Engineers in the execution of other support tasks associated with mechanical/electrical completion, equipment start-up and commissioning.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- This position would be suitable for an entry level candidate with some hands-on experience in the field of Electrical, Mechanical, Supply Chain and/or Materials
- Written and Oral English Language (essential)
