Job Title: Sales Manager

Job Purpose:

In accordance with MAN Energy Solutions nationalization and development plan, we are looking for a local Sales Manager for our New OEM and Multibrands Omnicare Business growth in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Responsible for the development and achievement of Order intake goals, plans and activities of the New Equipment and Service products/services in Azerbaijan and later, potentially neighboring countries.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates customer care and service business for the entire machine population across Azerbaijan
  • Manages and coordinates the customer relationship for new sales equipment in own Hub for installations worldwide
  • Responsible to support the growth strategies within the region (budget quotations, order intake, revenue/casing, customer visits), follow up on open payments
  • Support the definition of the business plans for New Sales and PrimeServ activities and implement the agreed actions and initiatives e.g third party service business
  • Win new /  reactivate customers with a systematic approach / and get understanding and agreement on general terms and conditions
  • Registration, acceptance of MAN-ES products with all customers /end users so that each product gets the best chance in the market.
  • Builds customers relationships from prospecting to closing / foster relationship with agents
  • Supports the commercial negotiation of new sales proposals up to contract signature and provide proper support during project execution till PAC signature
  • Support the negotiation / approval  of contracts and service agreements within Hub
  • Develop and implements marketing plans for Azerbaijan
  • Regional coordination between customers/agents and Product Centers
  • Collect & communicate market intelligence / competitors activities, project opportunities
  • Reporting in a structured and professional manner
  • Mission-critical customer contacts (Key Accounts)
  • Contact for technical queries in the event of accidents and repairs or escalations
  • Upon request creates and organizes quotations for projects within the Hub

Experience & Skills:


  • Seasoned sales experience  with 5+ years of related experience, preferably in Marine and / or Turbomachinery industries
  • Entrepreneurial mindset combined with a high degree of customer satisfaction orientation
  • Demonstrated sales success in Azerbaijan
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge Turbomachinery and / or Marine markets in Azerbaijan
  • Knowledge of MAN ES products and services
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence key decision makers at all levels of the business
  • Demonstrated ability to present and close proposals and establish MAN ES as the customers winning supplier
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Able to network and find out emerging opportunities in given market

  • Experience of working within a multinational company
  • Having good relationship with local potential customer and business decision maker
