Preparations Underway For Summer Season at Turkmenistan’s Avaza

Emergency medical services have been created at the Seýrana and Hazyna hotels in the Avaza NTZ.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Friday held a working meeting via video link on ensuring comfortable and safe recreation of citizens on the Caspian coast in summer.

During his report, Minister of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Emergency Commission to Combat the Spread of Diseases Nurmuhammet Amannepesov, Head of the Recreation Management Center in the Avaza National Tourist Zone Nurmuhammet Amannepesov reported that the necessary measures had been taken to organize the effective operation of the Management Center, the country’s official media reports.

The Minister said the vacationers wishing to travel to Avaza acquired tourism vouchers via tour companies or other relevant local structures. To date, a total of 2,257 tourism vouchers have been issued. The citizens who acquired them received relevant permits from the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan. They were also vaccinated against COVID-19 at special points located in the clinics of the velayats and the capital.

Emergency medical services has been created at the Seýrana and Hazyna hotels in the Avaza NTZ and they are provided with medicines and medical supplies to provide emergency medical care if necessary, Amannepesov noted.

He also added that express COVID-19 testing has been established in the parking lot at the Avaza NTZ and a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) equipment has been installed in the Avaza etrap health center and the laboratory of the Turkmenbashi city sanitation and disease control service.

Avaza National Tourist Zone on the coast of the Caspian Sea will be open from June 1 to September 15 this year. The decision was made during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on April 16.
