Top brass of Japan’s Maritime Self-Defense Force infected with COVID-19

Two senior officials of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force have tested positive for the coronavirus, APA reports citing Kyodo.

PCR tests of Chief of Staff Adm. Hiroshi Yamamura and his deputy Naruto Nishi came back positive after a routine check. The two officials work remotely and have so far developed no symptoms of COVID-19.

There is no immediate information on recent contacts of the two senior servicemen.
