Position Title: Technical Professional Leader – Process
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
• Managing process resources across all projects executed in Baku
• Ensure the process team in Baku are continuously developing. This entails monitoring the type of projects/ roles individuals are placed on
• Chairing performance reviews for all process engineers
• Provide training sessions to the team on various process plant and equipment
• Vetting CVs and holding interviews for potential new hires
• Provide technical support to all projects where required and keep process overview to ensure projects are meeting the project and industry standards
• Lead Coordinator with UK office for Process and all other inter-disciplines to ensure smooth transition of work activities so project budgets and schedules are not overrun
• Review Project Standards and Philosophies to ensure they are in line with Company Standards and Industry Codes & Practices
• Liaise with SOCAR-KBR Management in Baku to ensure all expectations are met and both KBR UK/SOCAR-KBR Azerbaijan are streamlined
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Required work experience for this position:
• 15 Years Process Engineering experience in both FEED and EPC Projects
Education:
• BEng in Chemical Engineering
• Chartered Chemical Engineer with IChemE (Institution of Chemical Engineers)
Essential skills:
• This position requires experience working with Engineering, Procurement and Construction type companies in the Oil & Gas Industry
• Experience in large Capex type projects
• Experience with Front End Engineering Design Projects
• Experience as a ‘Lead Engineer’
• Experience with training and development of engineers
Desirable skills and qualifications:
• Workshare experience across various other global offices
• Good exposure with ‘Change Management’ so a clear understanding of ‘what’ and ‘when’ is a ‘change’
• Experience with Studies and Basic Engineering Packages
• Experience with Budgets/ Planning Schedules
