Position Title: Site Controller

JOB OBJECTIVE:

 To ensure that ACE Topsides Construction and Commissioning construction / commissioning comple-tion Work-scope is undertaken in accordance with the Control of Work procedure
 To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent permit control service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures
 To support overall delivery of the Project ensuring safety, cost and schedule are given the priority

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

 Responsible for the overall operation of the Permit to Work System, ensuring the process described in the Permit to Work Procedure are consistently followed
 Ensure that permits for work activities, that may interact or affect other site activities are adequately controlled, and other works that would create hazards if undertaken at the same time is suspended and made safe
 In conjunction with the HSSE Manager ensure that enough resources are provided to support the pro-cess
 Ensure integrity of the Permit to Work system by regular monitoring and auditing, acting upon the audit findings / observations and proposing recommendations for system improvement
 Authorization of relevant authorities as competent to carry out their duties and ensuring that a con-trolled log of all authorized personnel is maintained
 Ensure training and competency standards are maintained

 Chairing the Permit Coordination / planning meeting where all permits (Construction and Commission-ing) are reviewed ensuring SimOps and Priorities in line with the schedule are taken into consideration and authorize all new permits raised
 Seek advice from the Senior Electrical person (REP) for all permits connected with electrical works
 Ensure all Permit Requests are compiled by the Performing Authority (PA) in line with the Procedure ensuring all supporting documentation is correct in accordance with the applicable workpack / job card instructions
 Provide support to trades/disciplines where required, as required form part of an integrated multi-disci-pline Risk Assessment Team

LEVEL OF INFLUENCE & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

As delegated by the HSSE Manager in accordance with Competency Assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

 Project Planning
 Risk Management
 Advanced Auditing

Minimum Experience:

 10 Years’ experience in a Project / Construction Leadership Role
 Previous topsides build experience

Job-Specific Skills:

 Determination to achieve project & personal objectives and goals
 Strong Safety Leadership Qualities

General:

 Be able to interact with all disciplines and understand / manage SimOps
 Interface with Client Commissioning Teams ensuring a smooth transition from MC1 to SH1

Discipline Specific:

 Understand the Control of Work / Permit to Work Procedure (PTW) including Local Rules and all associated documentation

 To be able to demonstrate methodical and logical steps in managing a permit to work system

 Self-motivated.
