Gas exports from Azerbaijan in January-August 2020 amounted to 8.7 bcm, an increase of 17.6% compared to the same period last year.
According to the Ministry of Energy, during the reporting period, 7.2 bcm (an increase of 25.3%) was supplied to Turkey, and 1.5 bcm – to Georgia.
The supplies of Azerbaijani gas from the Shah Deniz field to Turkey via the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) for the period from June 30, 2018 to September 1, 2020 amounted to about 6.7 bcm.
In January-August 2020, gas supplies via this pipeline amounted to 2.8 bcm, the Energy Ministry said.
