New TMS Cardiff Gas LNG tanker delivered to Total

The vessel is equipped with a GTT Mark III Flex containment system and two WinGD XDF 2-fuel low-pressure engines. The fleet of the Greek shipping company TMS Cardiff Gas replenished the Qogir gas tanker with a capacity of 174 thousand m3 of liquefied natural gas (LNG).TMS Cardiff Gas accepted the delivery of the new vessel on June 1, 2020. Qogir is already chartered by Total Gas & Power, the daughter of French Total. This is the 2nd TMS Cardiff Gas vessel chartered by the French company after the delivery of Le Seine in early 2020. The vessel is equipped with a GTT Mark III Flex containment system and 2 WinGD XDF 2-fuel low-pressure engines. 

In addition, it is equipped with a stripping gas liquefaction unit, which was tested during the gas tests of ships in May 2020. TMS Cardiff Gas currently operates a fleet of 16 LNG carriers, 7 of which are still under construction in South Korea. The Greek company plans to accept them during 2020-2021. Recall that China is currently completing work on the 4th MOL gas tanker for a temporary Yamal LNG charter. The gas tanker Megrez is the 4th and last specialized LNG carrier for the Yamal LNG project, ordered by Japanese MOL and China COSCO Shipping at a Chinese shipyard. Work has already been completed on the cargo systems of the tanker, sea trials have begun.
