Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has warned regarding the use of beaches, APA reports.
It has been noted in the warning that according to the decision No 191 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On additional measures regarding toughening special quarantine regime in the territory of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran cities, and Absheron district” dated on June 4, 2020, persons, living in the mentioned territories, have been banned to leave their residential places or place of stay from 00:00 a.m on June 6, 2020, to 06:00 a.m on June 8, 2020, in order to provide toughening special quarantine regime, aimed at decrease of spread speed of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as minimize its possible consequences in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran cities, and Absheron district.
“Taking into consideration, the above mentioned, as well as due to the weather getting hot, some people go to beaches despite the beach season has not been announced open yet, it is noted citizens living in Baku, Sumgait cities and Absheron district to stay at home in the mentioned dates, and leaving the place of residence or location for using beaches is strictly prohibited.
We once more call on our citizens to strictly follow all the decisions and recommendations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework to fight against pandemic in our country.
